Director of Special Projects

The Director is a dynamic leader who works with the Administration and Board of Education to ensure that the District's human resources contracts contribute to the implementation of the District's curriculum, new strategies and innovation initiatives, both operationally and financially. The Director supports and challenges the learning community to take intelligent risks, strive for innovation, work as a team, and engage in collaborative practices. The Director’s responsibilities include pedagogical design, consulting and advisory support for faculty and staff, continuous feedback, and entrepreneurial engagement and involvement. Ultimately, the Director strives to ensure that endless creative curricular possibilities become a reality in our classrooms and for the ultimate benefit of our students.


  1.  Ability to assume the role of the Superintendent of Schools, in his/her absence.

  2. School administrator certification or evidence of intent to obtain Certificate of Eligibility (COE) toward earning standard certificate.

  3. Ability to engage with administrators, supervisors, educators, and support personnel, and parents and students to extend responsible and creative use of technology in the curriculum.

  4. Ability to prepare and manage budgets.

  5. Active user and advocate of technological systems for learning, with a track record of integrating technology into classroom settings.

  6. Experience working with iPads and other mobile devices in education, and familiar with a range of software, hardware, and operations systems (Windows, Mac, IOS).

  7. Broad knowledge of industry standards and best practices in the use of technology, including NAIS Principals of Good Practice on Technology and International Society for Technology in Education National Technology Standards (ISTE NETS)

  8. Possesses professional presence and service orientation, with the ability to make meaningful and positive connections with a broad base of stakeholders.

                               Assistant to the School Business Administrator

Job Summary: To assist the Business Administrator in managing the business affairs of the district efficiently and effectively, and to ensure that educational support services help to achieve the educational goals of the district with the available financial resources.


  1. Understanding of the principles and practices of financial accounting and reporting procedures consistent with statute, code, and GAAP requirements

  2. Knowledge of accepted business practices, laws and regulations governing school districts related to budget preparation and administration, risk management, purchasing, transportation, food services, school plant operations and facility planning, or is willing and able to study and attend training to gain this knowledge

  3. Minimum experience as determined by the board

  4. Required criminal background check and proof of U.S. citizenship r legal resident alien status

  5. Demonstrated organizational, communication and interpersonal skills

District Technician

Seeking a Full-Time District Technology Technician in a fast-paced, versatile public K-8 setting. Ideal candidates should have the following skill sets:

  • Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and time management skills and ability to support teaching and classroom implementation;

  • Ability to handle basic tech support requests, including trouble shooting and user administration (in a predominately Mac OS X/iOS/Chrome OS environment)

  • Data manipulation and reporting (for NJ state reporting, NJ SMART, using tools like spreadsheets and Powerschool)

  • Knowledge of website administration - Excellent written communication skills; attention to detail, intermediate knowledge of HTML and image processing.

  • Ability to engage with administration, teachers and support personnel.
