About the Superintendent


Dr. Gina Villani

Dr. Villani comes to Clinton Township from the Nutley Public Schools where she has served as the Assistant Superintendent since 2011. Her extensive administrative experience coupled with her collaborative leadership approach will propel the district forward.

In addition to her role as Assistant Superintendent, Dr. Villani has spent the past seventeen years as an educator. She has extensive experience as an elementary school principal, curriculum supervisor and teacher.  Dr. Villani worked in the field of facilities management prior to her work in education.

Dr. Villani earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Drew University, a Master’s of Science degree in Elementary Education from Long Island University, C.W. Post, a Masters of Arts degree in Educational Administration from Kean University, and a Doctoral degree in Education Administration from Seton Hall University.  Her doctoral study, The Influence of Early Childhood Program Participation on Academic Achievement at the Elementary Level, afforded Dr. Villani the opportunity to deepen her understanding of the influence of early childhood education on academic achievement by grade three.
