NJ Department of Education Seeks Stakeholder Feedback on Special Education Administrative Code (N.J.A.C. 6A:14)

The New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) Office of Special Education is initiating a broad stakeholder engagement process to support the review of N.J.A.C. 6A:14, which governs the provision of special education and related services in New Jersey. The current chapter is scheduled to sunset in September 2027. As part of the early stages of this review, the NJDOE is seeking input from individuals and organizations who support students with disabilities across the state.

To inform this process, we ask stakeholders to complete a brief survey to share perspectives on which sections of N.J.A.C. 6A:14 may warrant revision. The survey is designed to gather input from a broad range of stakeholders, including school and district leaders, educators, families, advocates, and service providers. Responses will be used for informational purposes only and will help the NJDOE identify key areas of interest or concern as it plans for the next steps in the rulemaking process.

Please complete the survey by August 30, 2025
