The Clinton Township Board of Education has announced a board vacancy.
All registered voters who are able to read and write, are not disqualified to vote pursuant to N.J.S.A. 19:4-1, hold US citizenship, have been a resident of the township for a minimum of one year, have no interest in any contract with, or claim against, the board, and do not hold o, ffice as mayor or member of the municipal governing body are welcome to apply by mailing a letter of interest to Clinton Township Board of Education, Attn: Patricia Leonhardt, 128 Cokesbury Road, Lebanon, NJ 08833 or via email to Email Patricia Leonhardt. Letter may also be hand-delivered to the above address any regular school day from 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.
The deadline for receipt of a letter of interest is 4:00 PM on November 8, 2011. Candidate interviews will be held November 14, 2011 at 7:30 PM during a Special Board of Education meeting to be held in the Auditorium of the Clinton Township Middle School at 34 Grayrock Rd, Clinton.

Pursuant to the Open Public Meetings Act, notice is hereby given that the Clinton Township School District Board of Education has scheduled a Special Meeting for 5:00 PM on Thursday October 27, 2011 in the Conference Room of the District Office in Round Valley School, 128 Cokesbury Road, Lebanon, NJ 08833. While the primary purpose of the meeting is to award the work for the Wastewater Treatment Plant Outfall project, the Board reserves the right to address any and all matters which may come before it. The Board will convene in open session and immediately adjourn to Executive Session for the purpose of interviewing candidates for the position. LEGAL REQUIREMENTS:
To become a member of a local board of education in New Jersey you must:

Hold U.S. citizenship and one year’s residency in the school district
Have no interest in any contract with, or claim against, the board
Not hold office as mayor or member of the municipal governing body

Pursuant to the Open Public Meetings Act, notice is hereby given that the Clinton Township School District Board of Education:
Has a work session scheduled at 7:00 PM on Monday September 26, 2011 for the purposes of Board training. During this session, a quorum of the Board may be present but no formal action will be taken. The regular meeting of the Board of Education will commence at 7:30 PM as previously scheduled, at which time formal action will be taken.
Will conduct a Special Board Meeting on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 beginning at 7:00 PM. The purpose of the meeting is to interview candidates and appoint a new member to the Board of Education, interview Superintendent Search Firms, and any other business which may come before the Board. Formal action may be taken. Please note that this meeting will be held in the All Purpose Room at Round Valley School, 128 Cokesbury School, Lebanon.
Will conduct a Special Board Meeting on Monday, October 3, 2011 beginning at 7:30 PM. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss options with the land across from CTMS (including a presentation by the YMCA), the installation of solar panels in the district, and any other business which may come before the Board. Formal action may be taken.
Has re-scheduled the regular October meeting of the Board of Education, originally established for October 24, 2011, to October 17, 2011, remaining at 7:30 PM. Formal action will be taken.

The Board of Education will hold a public hearing regarding the amendment of the contract terms and conditions of the contract of the Superintendent of Schools at its meeting to be held on Monday, June 27, 2011 at 7:30 PM in the Library of the Clinton Township Middle School, 34 Grayrock Road, Clinton, NJ 08809. The Board of Education may take action to amend and/or modify contract terms and conditions of the contract of the Superintendent at this meeting., Public comment regarding said amendment will be accepted.
The board, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 10:4-12(b), the Open Public Meetings Act, shall not publicly discuss personnel matters and shall not respond to comments made by members of the public. Additionally, please be aware that the subject of this hearing retains the right of privacy and shall retain all rights regarding defamation and slander according to the laws of New Jersey.
