Other Special Services
School Health Services
Health services within Clinton Township School District are overseen by the Office of Special Services. Our school nurses are responsible for overseeing student health needs, administering medication, approving participation in school sports, training staff on various medical concerns, and much more.
Please find the contact information for each school's Health Office here.
Guidance
Each school building has at least one school guidance counselor available to support students with academic and social/emotional concerns. Guidance counselors are also responsible for the creation of 504 accommodation plans.
If your child has a medical condition that requires accommodations at school and you would like to learn more about or request a 504 plan, please contact the guidance counselor at your child's school.
Home Instruction
Per the New Jersey Administrative Code, "'Home instruction' means the provision of one-to-one, small-group, or online instruction in the student’s place of residence or other appropriate setting due to a health condition, need for treatment, court order, or exclusion from general education for conduct or safety reasons."
If your child will be out of school for more than 10 consecutive school days (or 20 cumulative school days) for a documented medical reason, you may request home instruction for your child. This is a service available to all students.
You will need to submit your request to your child's school in writing and include written documentation from your child's medical provider of the reason and estimated date range your child will be out of school. This request will then be verified and approved or denied by the school district's physician.
